Five content hooks freelancers can use without sounding salesy
Useful starting points for posts that show expertise without inventing success stories.
You do not need dramatic claims to write posts people want to read. A strong hook names a problem your audience recognises.
Five fill-in-the-blank hooks
- “The first thing I'd fix on a [type of business] website is…”
- “Three questions to ask before hiring a [your service]…”
- “A common mistake I see in [industry], and how to avoid it…”
- “What a €[price] [service] actually includes…”
- “If I had to start learning [skill] again, here's my first week…”
After the hook, give a useful answer, a real example where available and one natural next step. Don't fabricate client testimonials or performance statistics.
